Add how many credentials necessary to access important information and devices securely.
In Vault One platform is possible to add how many credentials are necessary to access websites, computers, devices, etcetera.
Each credential keeps different access' information, such as passwords and keys.
There are two options to create a new credential.
You can create a new credential by clicking on the menu that you would like to create new access for. In this case, I will use the website menu as an example, however, the steps are exactly the same in any other menu.
1. Go to the websites menu and search for the website you would like to create a new credential. Click actions and then edit:
2. Now, click on add icon which is located in credential's box:
3. Fill all the information required and then click on add:
Note that the new credential was added to this website:
To finish the process, do not forget to click on Save before leaving this page, otherwise, the new credential will be deleted automatically:
You can also create a new credential by going directly to the credentials menu.
1. Click on Credentials menu and then add credential:
2. Fill up all the information required and finally click on save:
The credentials created through this menu will not be associated with any access within the platform until you associated them to a website or a computer, for instance.
In order to do that, access the menu you want to associate the credential (in this example, I am going to use the websites menu again). Click on actions, after on edit:
Click on add:
Then, instead of creating a new credential, click on existing as the following image shows:
A list of credentials inserted in the platform will be displayed and you can select one. Finally, click on add:
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to click on save:
