Keeping connectors up to date is important since some platform improvements work only whether the connectors are updated.
VaultOne is constantly developing, so from time to time we release improvements and even new features on the platform. Whenever this happens, the main platform administrators will receive an email from our team explaining the changes implemented and whether it will be necessary to update the connector version or not.
WARNING
During installation, users are unable to access computers remotely, therefore plan beforehand along with your team 10 to 20min without remote access.
To update the version, access the Administration menu, then connectors and, in action button, click Install:
At this point, you have two options.
The first is to copy the data that is to copy the cope line selected on the image above and paste it into the Linux machine:
And the second option is to download the installation script and run it on the Linux machine prepared to be the connector:
To finish, click on close.
To verify if the connectors are working correctly, check if the software version information and the last date the connectors were accessed appear:
If this information appears next to the connector you've just installed, then it means that it is already working and you have successfully completed the installation.
TESTING
Check after 15 minutes if the version number has been updated on the screen. On the
same computer that you typed the installation lines, type "docker post -a" to ensure that the 4 containers are all up and running.
ATTENTION
If the installation didn't work as this article explains. Please, do it again, but manually.
