The tags were designed to facilitate the search for resources and assist in organizing your Vault. Access the article to learn how to best use them.
Sometimes, VaultOne is implemented throughout the company, which means that all employees need to access resources through the platform. In that case, there is no need to have multiple safes for the same company.
It is much safer and more practical to have a single safe for the entire company, but for organization purposes, the resources should be organized by tags.
All the menus, in which resources are registered, have the possibility to label the resources:
Click on any menu and follow the same step by step that will explain in this article. Here, I will do the process in Credentials.
From the menu, choose the resource you would like to tag and click Actions, and then Edit:
On the new screen, look for the Labels space, type the label, and click Enter to create one:
TIP
- You can create tags with more than one word;
For example: Security Cameras
- You can use space between words on the same tags;
- Capital letters do not interfere in the search for labels created with lower case letters and vice versa.
For example: "Marketing" and "marketing" are the same tag
Click on Save:
Now, whenever you want to search for a resource in its respective menu, just type the tag and click enter in the search bar:
