It is important to emphasize that each company has its particularities and specific needs. For that reason, not all the steps described below will need to be applied in your case. However, if you have any questions, please contact our support team!
Prerequisites
Before starting the installation, you will need a machine with the following characteristics:
Operational system
Ubuntu Jammy 22.04 (LTS)
Ubuntu Impish 21.10
Ubuntu Focal 20.04 (LTS)
Ubuntu Bionic 18.04 (LTS)
Note: the above versions must be 64-bit. Supported architectures: x86_64 (or amd64), armhf, arm64 and s390x.
Debian Bullseye 11 (stable)
Debian Buster 10 (oldstable)
Note: the above versions need to be 64-bit. Supported architectures: x86_64 (or amd64), armhf and arm64.
Hardware
Memory: 4GB RAM
Disk: 60GB free
CPU: as of 2 cores
Network (?)
Some basic firewall settings must be applied by the network administrator. This configuration consists of allowing the connector to receive connections (inbound) on ports 443 and 2222 - in addition to its default SSH port -, and allowing all connections coming out of it to be allowed (outbond).
Firewall input: 443 TCP and 2222 TCP
Firewall Output: Straight to internet, no proxy
Docker
It's needed to install the docker on the machine.
Important: follow the step by step for the correct execution of the docker. In this link, you can check all the necessary commands based on the operational system -> https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/
Here is an example of installation on a machine with the Ubuntu operating system
Scroll down a bit and select the installation based on the machine's operating system
Follow the repository’s installation and the Docker Engine’s installation instructions:
If you are going to access from outside the company, it will be necessary to open the Firewall port for the connector, but if the access is from the local network, the acess to the connector is enough. It's the same principle as if you were opening the firewall to the VPN server.
Note: if the docker is already installed, skip this step.
