Keeping connectors up to date is important as some platform improvements only work with updated connectors.
VaultOne is in constant development and from time to time, we provide improvements and even new features on the platform. Whenever this happens, the main email administrators from our team explain what the changes were integrated and if it will be necessary to update the connector version or not.
NOTICE
During installation, users will not be able to access computers remotely, so plan ahead with your team for 10-20 minutes without remote access.
Currently the latest connector version is 18.
To update the version, go to the Administration menu, then connectors, then under actions click Install:
Access the machine where the connector is installed.
From that moment on, you have two options.
The first is to copy the command line and paste it to the Linux machine. And the second is to download the installation script and run the script on the Linux machine.
(Remember that to perform an update, you must have access to the ROOT user. Use the sudo su command before performing a connectors update.)
To finish, click on close.
To verify that the connector is working properly, check that the latest software version information appears and that "Last seen" does not display the current date.
If this information was reached next to the connector you just updated, then it means that it is already working and you completed the update successfully.
TESTING
Check after 15 minutes that the version number has been updated on the screen. On the same computer where you typed the installation lines, type "docker ps -a" to make sure the 4 containers are all working. (Above)
ATTENTION
If the upgrade did not work using the install script, try again using the command line.
