There are two distinct Administrator permissions within VaultOne: admin and master admin. The main difference is that the master admin has three additional permissions. Therefore, it is recommended that only one user be designated as master admin to ensure more efficient management.
Exclusive Permissions for Master Admin:
Buttons that allow the master administrator to add, edit, or remove resources in bulk for the same group.
Move permissions.
Add me button.
To add the master administrator permission, click Administration -> Users -> Choose the user who will have the permission -> Actions -> Permissions.
Select the option below and click Save.
After saving, the user will have the three permissions below.
Additional permissions:
Permissão de adicionar, editar ou remover recursos:
This permission is for the user to add, edit or remove resources in bulk from the same group.
Example: The master administrator can add multiple computers at the same time.
Administration -> Groups -> Resources.
Ability to move permissions from one user to another:
This permission allows a user to transfer permissions from a given user to another. This feature can be useful when an employee leaves the company, and another takes their place with the same permissions.
Administration -> Users -> Actions -> Move permissions.
Add me Button:
Allows the master admin to add themselves to all resources (credentials, computers, or websites) registered by a user, even if those resources are not shared with the master admin. This way, when you click Add me, the master admin will have access, except private credentials.
