How to update the connectors version
Updated over a month ago

Keeping connectors up to date is important as some platform improvements only work with updated connectors.

VaultOne is in constant development and from time to time, we provide improvements and even new features on the platform. Whenever this happens, the main email administrators from our team explain what the changes were integrated and if it will be necessary to update the connector version or not.

NOTICE

During installation, users will not be able to access computers remotely, so plan ahead with your team for 10-20 minutes without remote access.

Currently the latest connector version is 20.

First step:

To update the version, go to the Administration menu, then connectors, then under actions, click Install:

Second step:

On the installation screen you must select the version, we recommend version 20, which is the most recent.

Third step:

Select the type of container service (Docker or Podman) that you use on the connector machine.

Fourth step:

Copy the installation command line or download the script to install manually. Enter these commands on the connector machine.

(Remember that to perform an update, you must have access to the ROOT user. Use the sudo su command before performing a connectors update.)

To verify that it is working correctly, verify that the software version information and last access date appear in the connector menu:

If this information was reached next to the connector you just updated, then it means that it is already working and you completed the update successfully.

TESTING

On the same computer where you typed the installation lines, type “docker ps -a” to ensure that all 4 containers are running.

ATTENTION

If the upgrade did not work using the install script, try again using the command line.
