In VaultOne it is possible to add as many credentials as necessary to access websites, computers, devices and others. Each credential stores information from different accesses with different passwords or keys.
There are two ways to create a credential.
First option to add a credential
The first way to create a credential is by directly accessing the Passwords/Credentials menu and clicking +Add Credential, in the top right corner:
Add your credentials information and click Save:
Credentials created through this path are not associated with any asset. To associate them with any of these assets, access the menu you want to associate with the credential and when creating a new credential, click on Existing. The list of credentials registered in your company's vault will appear and you can select them. To finish, click Add:
Second option to add a credential
The second way is by clicking on the menu where you want to create a new asset and creating the credential there. In this case, we will use the example of accessing Websites, but the process is exactly the same for creating credentials for all other assets within the VaultOne platform:
In the Websites menu, look for the site for which you want to create a new credential. Click Actions -> Edit:
In the window that opens, click +Add inside the credentials box:
Add the information for this credential and finally click add in the bottom right corner:
Please note that the new credential has been added for this site. Finally, don't forget to click save before leaving this page, otherwise the changes will not be finalized and the new credential will be automatically disregarded.
