How to Configure “RemoteApp” Mode on Your VaultOne

To access the features of the “RemoteApp” mode, first of all, it is necessary to enable it on the target server. To do so, access the server via RDP, and open the “Server Manager”. In Server Manager, click on “Add roles and features”:

Then, go to the “Server Roles” step, and select “Remote Desktop Services”:

In “Select role services”, make the selection according to the image below and click Next. It is not necessary to make any other changes other than those mentioned.

Install the service and restart the server

With the server restarted, open the Server Manager and click on Remote Desktop Services, and then on QuickSessionCollection, to perform the next configuration.

In the “RemoteApp Programs” column, click TASKS and click Publish RemoteApps Programs.

Now choose any software you want to share with users in RemoteApp mode

Confirm which software you want to share in RemoteApp mode

In your VaultOne, go to Computers, and on the server you want to enable RemoteApp mode, click Actions -> Edit. In the “RemoteApp” section, provide the data according to what was configured on the server.

Remember: Only the Application Name is mandatory and must be exactly the same as configured on the server. The path and arguments are optional.
