One of the main functionality of VaultOne is beeing able to share access with users in a safe maner. Follow the steps below to learn how to share access to resources that are registered in the platform in a safe manar, without ever sharing any kind of password at all.
First step: Access the resource
In the computer tab, click actions on the machine that you wish to share access with other users then click edit:
Second step: add a new user
Here, click on the Sharing Preferences tab and add the new user you will share access with:
First, select the user and then define whether they can manage, view details and/or connect to this resource. After that, click Ok to add the user:
Manage - the user can change everything on the respective resource, even delete it;
View Details - the user can see information about who connected, when they connected, video recording of the sessions and even see the password of the credential if he so wishes;
Connect - the user can connect to a resource or use the respective password in a connection;
Third step: Set credentials
After adding the user, select him and define which credentials he can use to connect. After that, click Save:
Ready, this resource will appear in the new user's vault computers menu and with the access permission you defined for them.
