How to use labels to better organize your VaultOne
How to use labels to better organize your VaultOne
Updated over a month ago

The labels were designed to facilitate the search for resources and help organize the safe. Access the article to learn how to best use them.

Sometimes, VaultOne is implemented throughout the company, that is, all employees need to access it through the platform. In this case, there is no need to have multiple vaults for the same company. It is much safer and more practical to have a single vault for the entire company, but with resources organized by labels.

First step

All menus, in which resources are registered, have the possibility of labeling what is registered:

Second step

Note: If you are using the old table, click the button next to ADD CREDENTIAL to update to the new table.

In this case I will do the process in Credentials/Passwords. From the menu, choose the resource you want to tag and click the credential name to access the settings screen:

Third step

On the new screen, look for the Tags space, type the label and click Enter to create one:

Note:

  • You can create tags with more than one word. For example: Security Cameras

  • You can use space between the words of the same tags.

  • Uppercase letters do not interfere with the search for labels created with lowercase letters and vice versa. For example: "Marketing" and "marketing" are the same tag

Fourth step

All set. Now, when you want to search for a resource in its respective menu, just type the label and press enter in the search field:
