Configuring Credentials Expiration Date
Updated over a week ago

On the platform, it’s possible to add several resources, such as: computers, servers, devices, social networks and database. These features require a credential to access and, for security reasons, it is highly recommended that these credentials be changed from time to time!

In the Dashboard menu of your vault, frequently monitor the credentials that are about to expire and those that have already expired.

First step: Choose the type of credential

Going directly to the point, in the credential registration process, notice that you choose between a key or password:

Second step: Choose the expiration date

When choosing either one, a new field will appear for you to enter the Expiration Date:

Note that this field is not mandatory, however, for security reasons, we recommend that it be filled in for as many credentials as possible and especially for those that are sensitive.

It is noteworthy that VaultOne only informs that the credentials need to be changed, which means that the main administrator needs to access the resources, update the credential and make the change in VaultOne as well.
